ebonynightwriter:

i’ve watched the trailer too many times already so here’s a thing i’ve noticed:

korra’s going to a lot of places this season (she’s definitly on some kind of journey) one of them being the swamp

image

and we all remember the deal with the swamp, right?

"In the swamp, we see visions of people we’ve lost, people we’ve loved, folks we think are gone. But the swamp tells us they’re not. We’re still connected to them. Time is an illusion and so is death.”

you know who else we see in this setting?

book 3 finale korra

We also have to take note that it seems like she’s going to see Toph in the swamp.

Makes sense, right? Since Toph is searching for enlightenment. But do you guys also remember the first time we met her in ATLA?

It was also in the swamp.

This is all too much

Isn’t it funny how the elements that once brought them freedom led to their ultimate demise?
